Jumpy Tach?

New problelm 06, K9
At speeds usually above 2500rpm, the led light indicators built into my tach will jump around? Race clear across the range and come back where they are supposed to read.

Do you think this is a loose wire someplace or a bad tach? Can't feel anything different about performance when this is happening...

Anybody else had this problem???

yes first it was that then the speedo then the odometer...bad speedo was the issue for me,its a warranty claim if you still fall under them guidelines

What did you do about this I seem to have the same problem sometimes

It sounds like you have gotten water inside the speedo and it settles at the bottom where the tach board is. I replaced my tach board and haven't had a problem since.

I've kind of quit worrying about it for awhile. It doesn't do it very often.
