JIMS USA COMPRESSION RELEASES

I am planning on getting a set of Compression Releases for my 03 Husky, S&S 107 which is factory pre drilled. I have been looking at the Jims USA manual CRs which appear to be of good quality. I did a search and many members say only the S&S CRs will fit, but the Jims units say they are 10MM, the same as the S&S. Folks keep saying the aftermarket are 14mm, but that is simply the size of the bolt head.

My question is, Does anyone know for SURE, from experience that they will not work? Has anyone installed an aftermarket CR on their S&S head. The only reason I am harping on this is the extreme price difference.:up:

I don't know what prices that you found, but I just checked with the Kaptin, because I'm going to change mine out , and the price he gave me was good.

S&S are 14mm.

If your heads are set up for the S&S releases, the 10 mm Jim's, or any lawn mower shop $10.00 releases will NOT work in the S&S holes.

Don't forget that your wiring harness is already set up for the S&S CR's so order them from WSW and be done with it. Simple install but requires an 02 relay. BD Technical Bulletin is in the "Tech" section on here. I put them in my 03 when I had it. Many older posts on this subject on here if you search them out

So, do the 03 Mastiff's have compression releases? I cannot tell?

Look in the middle of your rocker box...
Do you see a silicone boot in there?
If not and all you see is down to the plug in the head then...No...you do not currently have releases.
The good thing is you have S&S heads which are already prepped for them.
