Jetting

Agree with the answers:
1. Hard starting? No.
2. Good throttle response throughout? Yes.
3. Feels like it runs hotter? No.

Plug looks fine then.

Buddaboombuddabing!

Wait for the tuning scenario from the members. Sometimes it's as simple as a main jet. I have 2 variables being the air screw turned for a more rich start or know which way to turn for more fuel. Read the carb's manual web page or the members know how to richen the low screw. The other is if the jet slide needle can be raised? With those two played out, then I'd run the main jet.

The test would be: every morning, I'd run the air screw to richen the starting mode. I now raise the needle the next morning. I go back to the air screw and you should see how little it takes to change the air to fuel ratio. That's my approach, but the seasoned jetters might steer you to the right jet number. Carb is made by whom?

Have a problem. 2004 Bigdog chopper Vance and Hines big bore pipes and spike air intake. Previous owner says he jetted carb. But when I open her up wide open throttle she starts to loose acceleration in a sputtering or stalling like manner. Most of what I read says either clean carb or rejet... Looking for advice. If I have to rejet then which kit to buy. Looking online I notice there are two kits. For the super g carb. There's a high end and low end jet kit. Both have main and intermediate jets but each kit has different sizes. I'm running a 107ci. If anyone has advise would really apreciate it. I was a long time Harley owner this is my first chopper.

This plug is not working correctly. First check the intake manifold leak. By using a cigarette. The room is no wind. What jets ??? One carburetor, two cylinders. Are different work. Search for leaks. If the jets, the plug will be identical when poor mixture. If a plug normal, and the other is not, to seek the leak.

If both spark plugs in such a state, the replacement jets and adjustment carburetor . To enrich the mixture. The main jet employs more than 3,000 RPM. intermediate up to 3000 RPM.

Check and replace the 2 rubber caps on top of carb. They dry rot and suck air. If those are good and you still have issues search the forum for jet sizes. You are not the first to run this combo. You may just need to change out a single jet as well?

Easy, stop in an auto parts store and pick up some silicone caps.
Pull one off and take it with you. The guys will hook you right up.
