I will send the carb to XXX later for some minor work but want it to run right like it is for now....

I have the Stainless Creation Chaos III with Big City Thunder Baffles and a K&N style intake that flows well, everything else is stock. I am running 33 intermediate and 78 main, i just think it just a good idea to start fat and bring them down if needed, don't want to cook those nice pipes!
Search jetting there is a how to on reading your plugs if you don't know allready. Your going to love those pipes, Let me know if i can help or PM me for a phone number.

I'm running the 33 and 78 too. I had to go up a little to get that hiccup out of it when transitioning from one jet to the other.

The 33 intermediate seems rich to me.
You may want to install a Thunder-jet,which will help the transition, when you roll into it.:whoop:

Can you elaborate?
I have the newer carb with the replaceable air bleed.
You don't need to drill yours out the air bleed is now just a standard main jet. Older E and G carbs had a fixed .040 air bleed that you either drilled to what you were lookin for size wise and they can also be drilled and tapped to accept the standard jet

Greetings, I just bought my BD last week a 2008 K-9 and I had the V&H 2 into1 BR pipes put on in place of the two down. I also had a "Breath Taking" cone Air Filter put on. I talked to them and told mentioned that the recommendations called for the .76 and .31 jets I think (without going to look-it may have been a .78). Well all got installed and I asked about the jets and he said that he had changed the intermediate one but left the other stock. I obviously do not know a lot about the mechanics of bikes, but I am learning, previously I have concerned myself only with riding them-but I have a lot of money in this one (as everyone here knows). Well, the bike is still backfiring on both acceleration and declaration to the point of blowing fireballs out the exhaust (kind of blue in the dark). This mostly happens as I am moving through the power band (still on 500 mile break-in), but also when just "rolling on". They road tested it at the shop before I left, made an adjustment and said it was great. It is not great-obviously. Anyone with any input would help, please forgive my lack of experience, I ask for yours.
Thank you, "T"
