Jet question

Just curious.. I bought my 08 pitbull from a guy who was originally from minesota. When be bought he said it always ran cold and used the enricher a bunch. The bike would sputter at about 2700 rpm when the jets switch. I adjusted the carb and found that the jets were a 32 and 76. I upped the slow to 33 and now the dog is running like a beast and I don't have to use the enricher at all anymore.. I have had no other problems but I was just wondering if the jet is to big it seems like it would be for a stock bike..

You should be fine if it's running good and idleing fine. You have to tinker with carbs sometimes to get them right. We change jets in our racecars due to temp change and different elevations if it runs like a beast then your good. Cause if ain't broke don't fix it.

It has a k&n air filter... And the guy who had it before me drilled out the stock exhaust.. I'm ordering exhaust in the next month.. I'm looking for hooker troublemakers if I can find them

K&N forcewinder cleaner and vanes & hines big radius (empty). Best is a 34 and 78.
Nearly like a drag performance. Next will be a turbo charger...

Hi German ;) !

Where from did you get the 34? S&S does not make 'em...

Got mine from Bob of xxxcarburetors. Great guy :2thumbs:.

Good topic. Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but my question is temperature related.

Had my Super G set with a 32 and 76 - would run great until the temp's around here would get around 90 and higher; then it would sputter upon decel, actually stalling a couple of times when coming to a top. I put the 31 back in, readjusted and now runs like a bat out of hell. Actually pulls harder off the bottom then with the 32.

Being that there is such a small difference in the jets, has anyone else had to make adjustments like this due to temperature? I hope I don't need to keep doing this!!!!

Thanks!!
