As you can surmise from the title (and the ppost last thursday) I had an accident on the new (to me) K-9.

First and foremost, I am ok, bruised both physically and ego. Shoulder that was already bothering the hell out of me is really annoying right now -- basically can lift my arm more than a little without PAIN. Killer is I just got over that shoulder doing that a month ago from an unknown cause!

Don't ask me how I did it but somehow I did not damage thetins or any paint.

Just parts man. Good thing is JerseyBigMike lives to ride another day. Tins survived cause they were clean. They had all their tensile strength @ play.
tins survived as for some reason they didn't hit the asphalt or the bars didn't get them.
Had I been under the bike when I came to a stop I might have understood but we seperated - I damn near was in the other lane but twisted as best I could to stay out of the other lane and away from the truck I saw heading towards me.

That is so unfortunate for the bike. SO glad that you are ok other than your shoulder. Could have been worse. I know it must be frustrating to be “over“ some body pain in the shoulder, just to have it re-injured. Hopefully you can recover with a little time and patience. Like HMan said, just parts thank goodness. Hope you heal up fast and get back on the road!

I separated or dislocated my left shoulder ( don't know which hard headed didn't go to doctor ) I couldn't raise my arm straight out above my waist. I ended up using right hand to lift left arm up to the top of a door. I then squatted down took all my weight and it helped tremendously took 6 wks to finally get normal again. But can sometimes feel it get out of place if the mattress is too soft and just lay flat and rotate the arm a bit to pop it back in.

Glad you made it out with your life. Nothing is Guaranteed when you get in Motorcycle accident especially tins., someone was looking after you.

I have a thing or two that you may need if you're looking for something new or used 9useable). List your needs and we'll see if we can't get that DOG back on the road.

Thanks, but I got everything I need ordered today from Donna.
One of the hold up was I am taking advantage of the timing to do the pitbull handlebar swap (and covering the difference myself) since the bars were trashed. No sense in doing the bars twice.

A HUGE shootout to Donna for all her help finding everything, and a shoutout as well to Th3Infamous1(Eric) for getting someof the critical information to Donna (where some things were buried in the shop and cable lengths for the handlebar swap.)
