Jam nut question

I'm attempting to adjust my clutch after some chattering and creeping. I'm turning the jam nut left to loosen but it's tight and I'm concerned about turning it in the wrong direction to loosen. Does anyone have the thread info?

If it is a right side drive bike turning it left should loosen it. You may have to put an allen wrench in the center of the cluch push rod and hold it while you loose the jam nut.

Forgot to mention I have an 05 pit bull

Lefty to loosen. When it comes loose don't let the wrench fly across the room or more importantly hit something else on the bike.

You will have to put an allen wrench in the push rod and hold it still while you loosen the lock nut as Jaggerz mentioned...:2thumbs:

Got it! I was afraid of doing damage by twisting too hard in the wrong direction. I figured it was "lefty loosey" but ya never know. Thanks guys!
