Unanimous......JB Weld works well for plastic or instead of locktit on threads.....never trust it in place of welded metal. :loony:

X200....Well it sounds better than X15. yeah replace it. Happened to me on my intruder. Thank gawd i caught it before leaving to ride it. took it in with other work and also found out that my three piece rotor (stock on intruder) was loose and that could have ended my life as well. Thank Gawd for Common Sense and a really good Bike Shop here in Houston. (Motorcycle Unlimited). Best Advice is take no chance and just replace it.

Lars ... I think all the comments are the same....So change it out  or send it out for repair ... I probably would have went with a hose clamp for the time being ..Clamp the spring to the stand..

:loony: Icon wasn't to imply anything other than it was a crazy idea. I use JB Weld allot. It is a good product, but the word "Weld" is misleading. It is just some strong glue .... don't want to see someone count on it to hold a bike upright. Always a good idea to check here for advice

Had a friend use JB Weld to repair a broken treestand, first time up a tree he found himself on the ground and wondering "WHAT HAPPENED". Could have been fatal, he was very lucky. Better to be safe than sorry.
