I had a sympton I ignored for probably a year because it just didn't seem like a big deal... until the biopsy. The sigmoidoscopy (a colonoscopy with shorter and lighter gear) revealed only one polyp but it was too large to remove so I had to go back a few days later for a colonoscopy to remove it and check for more. The doctor knew it wasn't benign and said "hopefully it's just precancerous but with the size it is cause for concern". It takes a few days to get that answer and let me tell you, it's no fun. Luckily, THIS TIME, it was "only" precancerous. Now I know, even though I'm relatively young I'll be having a colonoscopy reguarly now.

I'll be doing this in the near future. I just had to get past the idea of another guy shoving something up my ass! :(

Not that I feel better about it now but what can you do, it's not a "date" right? :D

Although if I could get Katie to do it... :rolleyes:

:up: I so agree with Old Hippy and this thread!

My dear wife, best friend and riding partner died last January from cancer - diagnosed 'out of the blue' with Stage IV in July...gone 6 months later. :( She was 48 years old.

GET REGULAR CANCER CHECK-UPS AND SCREENINGS!
If not for yourself, do it for your loved ones who will be "left behind" if you don't:nonod: ...please do it.

First, sorry to hear bout your loss K9Anniv. Bet it is hard to lose your wife and best friend. My condolences to you.

Ole Hippy, thanks for the reminder.

I have my first date on 5/22 for a 'look/see'
