Issues shifting

I wish I had more money.
I have been having issues shifting since I pu some extetions on the Mastiff. The hymens seem to be in good shape and moving freely. I would guess that the linkage needs adjusting. So my question would be how to adjust it properly. OH! Shit. Forgot to tell the simptoms. When I am riding it casually it shifts fine. When I am reaming it it misses third fourth or fifth. Im not real sure if it is one or the other or all. It's like it goes into nuetral. When I try to go back up or down after I am back off the throttle it goes right in. Thanks guys.

I'm sorry mikie, I have to do this. I don't seem to see the problem. :D
seriously, not really sure. measure the distance between the shifter and the trans. lever and set the length on the shifter rod between heim joints center to center to that length.

The manual states to ensure that both shift linkages are at 12 oclock positions. I would also ensure that your linkage is in a straight line from the front to the rear. Also, ensure the rear shift arm is tight on the tranny shaft and not rubbing the tranny case.

I've had the extentions on my bike for almost 4 yrs now with the original/stock heims and had had no problems.

Good luck,
Ray

doesn't sound like a heim joint issue to me

do a search on this - I seem to remember this cropping up before.
