Is this battery any good

I'm not known for my electrical skills,but,does this battery seem like it will cut the mustard??It's a Oddesy pc545,it has 185 cca(?)with 545 cca for 5 seconds,there is a bunch of other bla,bla,bla stuff but my main concern was the cca's,I'm looking for something higher than 310 cause it seems like my bike chews em up and spits out the bones

Try looking at the Braille or Big Bore batteries. :2thumbs:

185CCA? You may as well have a pull starter. :loony: Maybe if you had one of those new cams where the lobes retract while cranking. I hear of a few on here that use the Harley battery as well. I think it's just 210CCA but some believe in them. I'd stick with something that has 300+CCA. Remember, many EHC problems originate from weak batteries, so don't skimp here. If you do, you can save now and pay later. :bang:

I got the HD bat it is 270 amps or more can't remember, Its does great but your 02 probably has more compression than a later EPA model rated at 9.5-1

You're right! It is 270CCA on the Harley. Must have had a brain fart. Still, if you go with the Braille, you'll be good.

I learned form experience, messed around and put a bullsh*t battery in and the CCA's dropped the voltage so low it damaged my EHC... go with an HD or Braille battery. You can't go wrong.

Ive ran the Braille for about 10 months....it puts a smile on my face every time i hit the start buttton.....425CCA...it's a fricken car battery and it's been reliable.

I know Brad,I was just wondering because they state that during starts(?)for the first 5 sec.it goes up to 545cca,it's not a cheepie price wise,as others have mentioned I'll prob.go braille

ha ha your all wrong about the harley battery,it list at 275 cca's but when tested its 430cca's,big boar is also another good one

I just got this battery and my god this thing is strong, I had installed compression releases and I thought I needed a new starter. This battery moves the engine like nothing I ever saw.

Since I have has about 6 EHC go out, with 3 of them blown out with the Voltage Regulator failure issue and taking the battery with it each time, I have had about every battery in my bike that is made!!!!

The Big Boar is what I am running now and it is BY FAR the best battery I have ever had.

I would tell anyone TO CUT RIGHT TO THE CHASE and buy a Big Boar and don't mess with the other brands.

I looked into and talked to guys about the Braille batteries seens how they are manufactured about two hours from me, and they just didn't weigh up to the Big Bore performance wise and about twice the $$$.
