I realize thats a very broad question, BUT, I am looking to the future. My Scoots going on 15,000 miles and someday, it's gonna need overhauled. With this engine, for this price, you guys think it'd be a good move to buy it now, and have t for later years..??

If I decide to pull the trigger, I'll drive down and investigate myself....Just a weekend away, but I'm not sure I want to shell out the $$$ right now.!!!

Appears you didn't read my reasoning behind all this Vegas..!!! For a price like this, it is for future needs, not a 15,000 change out..!!! Plus, it's a polished engine, something Ive been wanting And I will never walk away from the pipe..!!!!!

Hip I would say let it go! If you let the engine sit for 2 years you could have dried out seals. Maybe ring sealing problems and who knows what else. You can buy a new one with a warranty and igntion for under 8 from S&S and you want have your money tied up either. Just my .02

I was thinking along the same lines...

By the time you need a new motor Hippy there will most likely be bigger and better stuff out there and they'll be giving away 124's just to get rid of old stock.

PS As an FYI, went to the site he says he bought the motor from and the part number he gives in the aution doesn't seem to come up there or on Google. Kind of makes you wonder if this motor hasn't already been sitting around for a while...
