Is there an alternative to the ugly V&H exhaust bracket?

Taking off my Supertrap exhaust to put on the new V&H 2 into 2 big radius pipes. The bracket that came with the V&H is one ugly piece of shit compared to the one that was on the bike. Not sure if it's a stock piece or if it came with the Supertrap's but it's nice, machined and chrome. Don't see any way to mod it to make it work. Is there any other brackets that work or do I have to get this chromed eventually?

what is ugly about the V&H bracket ? If it just needs chromed ,that's no big deal . If the form is ugly try trimming , grinding and forming it into something you like.

Post a picture and maybe we can help with ideas, but just saying it is ugly makes it imposable to offer suggestions.

V&H ugly black bracket and the chrome aluminum bracket that came on the bike. The chrome bracket had another steel chrome bracket bolted to it that bolted to the pipes. I started to make a polished stainless plate to bolt onto the chrome aluminum bracket.

Do a search on here, some has came up with some pretty good ideas. I am fabricating one than can hold a NOS bottle....

I trimmed mine down to pull the pipes about an inch closer to the swing arm. Now the pipes are about a 1/16 clear. It provided better leg clearence, looks better and the bracket is much less noticeable. I kept it black to make it less noticeable. Did not want to chrome it and make it stand out.

Sounds like you have it figured out so what is the question? If your not sure of the one you are making you could use the part of the V&H bracket that has the 4 bolt holes [ just cut it free of the rest] and the chrome aluminum bracket. Just have the one piece chromed and you are home free.

I was just thinking maybe some one sold a nice bracket for the V&H.
