The profiit on these bikes, at msrp is very minimal, at or below 10% mark-up. That is why you hardly ever see a BDM bike discounted. Not much room to work price wise. I think that is why they do the $500 is accessories and in store freebies to off set it and I am sure that dealers are not supposed to sell below a certain point. I used to work a bike dealership years ago.
Alot of guys think that there is a $6000+ profit on these bikes and there isn't. And then out of that profit the dealer has to take care of any issues that may arise, larger ones of course get paid by warranty, others are just time out of the shops pocket or profit.
