I have had all kinds of bikes and hands down, the Dog is my favorite. After the rewire I know I can rely on that bike as much as the Honda's in my garage.. everyone has their own taste and opinion.. and as long as u know that urs is the only one that counts, that's all that matters!

I saw AIH uses HD controls, is the electronics old school or Harley or what? Are we going to dig deep into new EHC world?

I believe AIH used the Thunderhearts that are now in the RIP kit and others.

It's interesting to understand why big dog went those EHC, seems to have been a lot of money and time waste unfortunately. I see the theory but it ended up being good on paper not so much practical. I also think it frustrated the hell out of the dealers

Next time I see ya...just let me know when you want to expand your vocab. I'll reach under the seat and grab the wires on your bike and pull real hard. You can start over ..haha

If memory serves me right, one has to make 50% of the parts in house to get a status of "motorcycle manufacturer" or something. That may have something to do with it. Or I am totally wrong again.

You should see the mess I have with Wires Plus that has been hotwired by some Suzuki drag racers on the side of the highway when VR burned the WP brain. I don't even dare to open right side cover has been working 2years though.

Very nice
That was the first repair I did on the big dog and first entry into the big dog wiring it wasn't pretty but it did work for about 6 years until my VR went out.

I'm sure I could do it neater now but still that was ugly. I remember it was looking great as I was going along. Then when I finished I was like shit what the hell am I supposed to do with all of this?

Fired up and everything worked first try so I left it be.

Looks like this now. All better

Looks good. I specially like that ground wire around right ankle solution! Kind of deadman switch on boats! Clever

Thunder heart and Harley controls so should be good to go:old2: later models used what's called the rhc and another electrical part called the igniter but this one is free of that stuff made the cutoff by one year:chopper: the stalker model was built by iron horse then sent off to Arlen ness for finishing touches
Relay Harness Controller, I thought it was something like "Rhythmic Hand Control" for all you wankers! This day is full of disappointments ✊️
Yet to figure what igniter is.
