Hey,

My name is Kip and I just recently got back from a ten month stint in the middle east as a defense contractor. I bought my friends 04 Sporster when I first got home due to the deal he gave me (he was on his way to trade it on a new wide glide). I traded it today on a 03 BD Mastiff. This is the style bike I drooled over while I was in the ME,, and now I own one.. It is taking a little bit to soak in... I keep walking out to the garage to make sure it's still there... :hi:

As I posted before the turn signals are not functioning as they should, the lights come on when the bike is runing but not when the switch is activated.

Does the left fuel cap take a special method to open? It seems to be very tight..

The speedometer doesnt work either.

As for the lights on the dash the nuetral light comes on and the engine oil light come on at startup.

Should it be extremely difficult (darn near impossible) to get it in to neutral while it's running? It's very easy when it's not running...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Kip

Welcome!

The gas cap on the left hand side is left hand thread (righty loosey, lefty tighty)

As far as neutral might need to adjust the clutch, not a big deal, some times you can rev up the motor and it will drop in. Idle PRM should be around 950/1000 RPM at full operating temp.

The search function on here has enough info to and how tos to make you dizzy.
