Intermediate jet help.

Ok I did search but I would like some advice.
Changed from a 546 to a 585 cam
Went from .295 intermediate jet to a .31.
I also upped the main jet.
Set idle at 1000
Turned accel pump in to lightly seat.
I turn mixture screw in till it stumbles.
I turn it out and I can screw it all the way out and it will not stumble.
I set it 3 full turns out.
I then adjusted the accelerator pump screw. I am 4 full turns out to get good throttle response.
It seems to run good but wouldn't this mean I need to go up another jet size on the intermediate?
I checked for intake leaks and made sure the exhaust was tight.
Thanks for any insight.
I have jetted many v-8's but this is a slightly different animal.

A lot of us with the 585 are in the 32-33 range on the intermediate. I'm at 33/76 with mine and it runs great. Just sayin'.

Ride around town awhile and then check your spark plug color. I'm running a Dave Mackie 580 cam with 31/78 jets.

I put the .32 in and the carb was easier to adjust.
I will fine tune it when the weather clears.

There ya go. You can get in to altitude, humidity, what intake? what exhaust? Ball park numbers 31 to 33 and 74 to 78:whoop: Check yer plugs and adjust.
