Fellas, one question, I am sure a million answers. On the intakes, I have seen the spike( pointed up, pointed forward, dual pointed forward), factory intake, open, I call it the cone (open seems like no filter, I am sure when running something is stuck in it to filter, not that dumb to think someone would suck in any old air), etc. Hit me up with the pros and cons. Does the pointing forward give you more "ram air" if we may call it that or not?? Does the horse need "ram air"? I have looked a little on the pages for this question, hope it isn't a repeat. thanks

spike filters usually restrict air flow, some have been able to tune them by having them face up. what you are calling a cone is actually a velocity stack and yes they aren't really a suggested air cleaner because they don't clean anything but the big debris. the best choice right now seems to be the S&S single bore intake. lots of info on the site about this intake.
