Insurance options what do you have and why

Energy One
I have full coverage on my 3 bikes through Allstate. The 2004 Big Dog had to be appraised. They made me cover it at $25k, which is WAY over value unless you just price out the parts, which they said they would be on the hook for. I own a Yamaha Raider also and paid $80/month. When I bought and added my '16 Indian Chieftain, they gave me a multi-motorcycle discount and pay $9 more a month with the 3rd motorcycle, $89/month (?) It's cheap enough for me. Plus Allstate had this policy they cover any extras; chrome, exhaust, etc that was added to the OEM bike!

Yeah, if you try to use the towing they rout you thru India. Been there with the wifes heritage.
I didn't have that issue but it was still a 3 HR wait for the truck when I got my flat tire on my way back from Big Bend. Guy rolled up with a flatbead, no wheel chock or anything. I ended up taking shirts out of pack to use so the straps wouldn't scratch anything.

I made the driver stop a few times (only 12 miles from home) so u could tighten the straps, I was so nervous the whole time I don't want to go through that again.

After thinking about my wife's incident it wasn't state farm but AARP, which I promptly dropped after getting home the following Monday. Short story, cruising North on I81 and the bolts in the pulley on the wife's heritage backed out and of course she lost power. We got everything on the side of the road, thanks to a couple truckers slowing traffic for us and I called aarp and got an indian woman that I could barely understand. The first thing she wanted was a zip code for the area I was in and I explained that we were on I 81 north and gave her the state, nearest town, and mile marker and she kept asking for a zip code which is about the time I lost it and hung the phone up. After cooling down I looked up the nearest Harley dealer and found the boys at Shenandoah Harley in Charlottesville, Va. It was closing time for them but they sent a truck and trailer and promised to get us to our hotel. Well the driver took us back to the shop and they took the whole rear wheel assembly of a new heritage and got us going. Anytime I'm in their neck of the woods I always stop in and say high and try to pick up something to show my appreciation, Great people there. Who ever put the wheel assembly together on the pulley never put a drop of Loctite on any of the bolts. I consider it a very cheap lesson considering what could have happened.

just for information to put in the back of everybody's mind, AARP donates to the DNC. they give good/great discounts but i'm not selling my soul for a cheap night at a hotel.
I wanted to say that but didn't. They also sold their soul to the corporations so they no longer represent us old farts...

I have Geico, I have had them for 10 years. I have full coverage for $400 a year, with a value on my bike of $15,000. Never had a claim. 12 years ago had a Night Train stolen from the Harley Dealer at Myrtle Beach bike Week however was with different Insurance Company at the time, didn't have GAP Insurance , paid for a bike I didn't have for give or take a year because of that.

That's a bitch. I wonder if the Harley dealer stole it?

My buddy had the same thing happen to him on Main St. in Daytona and they didn't cover the whole cost. I can't believe how many bikes are stolen in Daytona.
