Two of the easiest mods to do. You'll be fine. If by chance you do run into a snag you know where you can get help.

not enough time 4 riding
Take your time and don't go crazy tightening bolts when you put everything together. These are relatively easy things to do and sound more difficult than they are. Plenty of people here to help out if you have any issues. Good way to learn a little about your motorcycle and the feeling pride when you get done is well worth it.

You will be find. Take your time.
Cover stuff with tape that you think you might scratch.
It never hurts to have tools.
For a starter kit craftsman tools will be find but you will be very disappointed with the ratchets they make.
Do yourself a favor invest in some decent ones. Saving a broken knuckle or finger one time and you saved money......

I just ordered the fsd sinful exhaust and will jet the bike this time. I was just like you not too long ago the people on the forum have helped me through some shit. I am in the middle of a top end rebuild right now. I recommend getting the s&s repair manual as well. It cost me 30.00 but has been a must to working with the engine .

Nick, I see your on the island. There are a couple of dog owners out there. I work in the city so if you need something holler. It's really easy changing those those two things out. Make sure you get new exhaust gaskets and the carb cleaner is just bolts. The exhaust nuts will probably be your biggest headache. Spray some wd 40 or breakfree to loosen up the bolts before hand.

DO NOT FORGET to use lock tight when your tightening things down otherwise I promise you after you put the exhaust and carb filter on it will vibrate loose so I suggest you use BLUE OR RED LOCK TIGHT when tightening down any bolts or nuts at all on the bike so you dont risk them backen off the threads and coming loose.

i just had a big argument with a friend, he owns a honda, anyway he doesnt feel i could do this and on top of that he thinks my bike may be down a while if i run into problems, i told him id have it running the same day, bring youre paycheck, im going to do this! i already have an idea on where im going as far as jets thanks to a couple of members with the same parts on the same bike as mine riding, at about sea level like i am, and with all youre help i cant see not being able to do this in a timely fashion, i hope you guys will follow this thread, ive read each post and will follow all suggestions coming from you guys who have done this before me....
thanks fellas ill take my time, ill use red locktite on everything and thanks for the torque specs, and will use wd-40 on the exhaust bolts or something to break the nuts free, theres only 1,940 miles on the bike that may also help....
thanks guys!!! and yes there are a couple of big dog owners on the island and wouldnt mind meeting them in the effort to get this job done

Only use Red on the bolt that ties the exhaust together to each other like we talked about on the phone.

You will want to use Blue 242 on the other items.

You can get the gaskets at any Harley shop. Your bike is much easier to work on compared to your buds bike more than likely. This is really easy Nick. You got this.

S&S has great stuff on the web site too. You may look it over a couple times if you can. Kinda get familiar before you get in there. You may even go to YouTube and watch a couple how to vids if they're up.
