Can anyone tell me if hand what size case bolt I need for the Inner Primary at Position 3 according to the service manual? Says 1/4 or 5/16 but does not give any lengths or details.

Mine keeps comming loose there and I have now lost it somewhere on my last ride all together. Guess I need to get back into habit of checking all of them again after each long ride.

Thanks

The only one that is remotely close to being in the 3'O Clock position is the rear inner primary who mounts to the transmission. That is a 5/16-18 x 1-1/4 bolt, torqued to 16 ft lbs and uses locktite 2440.

Thank you! It's not the 3'oclock position but the #3 position according the the service manual. It is the front lower of the two you can see behind the forward control.

But thank you for the help!!

You must be talking about the bolt holding the outer to the inner primary. I lost that one several times as well. If I remember it is 5/16-18. I think I bought 1-1/2 or 1-1/4 long.
