Having continuous problem, had the WP installed a year ago.
As of today I'm ,now going to have to change my switch for the 6th time, always the same thing. Switch heats up internally, bike will start and run but lights won't go on. They used a larger more beefy switch, even milled the cover so it would fit. Still when the weather gets warmer as it is now the switch heats up internally and the acc.portion that turns lights on melt.
My guy says its because the switch is so close to the engine and the vibration of the bike he may want to relocate the switch away from the engine.
Maybe he's using the wrong one but it happened the first time right after the WP install. Any suggestions? :bang::bang:

I have the original Big Dog Ignition Switch with a separate relay for us in WP-374. I have had no problems and mine doesn't get hot. It used to get hot when the EHC was in my bike. So, are you talking about an original BD ignition switch or other?
