A friend of mine bought a 2010 K-9 and has crazy hours at work so i'm trying to get a little info. He has a clevis kit for the rear passenger and someone told him he needs a clevis adapter kit extension. he is running V&H 2-2. is this true and does anyone have the correct part number. Thanks

Franco is correct. The stock clevis and passenger pegs do not need modifcation for the 2 into 2 big radius V & H pipes.

Thank Paul (IMan) for starting this thread and for the others who jumped in to offer help. It looks like I'll be placing the order tomorrow for the 12inch Sissy Bar, a set of rear stock matching pegs, either the 2up seat or the p-pad, and picking up the clevis kit that is avaliable locally. With some great people on here who offered to help, I want to say thank you very much. Only minor is do I go with the P-pad or the 2up full size seat. I know its a preference thing, its seems however people buy the p-pad over the 2up seat simply because of how much better the p-pad looks. What do you guys think? Again thank you. I was beginning to think that I would never be able to take my girlfriend for a ride. Now I will be able to. So excited. Very cool people on here ! Thanks !

if she is going to be the back quite often and for long rides, just for your peace of mind (bitchin'), go ahead and get the 2-up.

paul even asked me in person about the clevis, man was on a mission.

Thank you everyone for the help, especially with the photos. I'm about to order a set of stock passenger pegs and a 12 inch sissy bar, and a Sterling 2 up seat. I already have the clevis kit. In the photos you guys provided it looks like the peg barely clears the top of the pipe. The black rubber design on the stock pegs looks like it varies a little from year to year, at least from what I can see in the photos. Hopefully there is not much of a difference if any size wise. If someone has a free moment, could they measure or approximate the difference between the peg and the pipe and let me know please? This will def set my mind at ease. The reason I'm asking this is because I viewed some internet photos of a few 2007 and up K9's with the V&H 2 into 2 and it almost looks like passenger peg is resting a little on the pipe and is almost but not completely all the way flat. I called the dealer where I'm about to order and explained to him about not needing the clevis adapter for the 2 into 2 V&H and he said he was happy to hear this but sounded a little surprised too. Below is a picture of my bike showing the stock pegs. Thanks again for the help :)

i think what you would have to worry more about is if the ol' lady is wearing rubber soled boots and she rocks the foot forward and lets it rest on the pipe. that is a more common occurrence.
