Hey, so after reading the kudos that went out to Millar Machine in his welcome, I realized that I've never asked anyone here who's the best Dog mechanic in the Tampa area.

So who do local members trust and use?

S.

I used to get service at Tampa Big Dog with good results. A couple of buddies still do, and have been satisfied with the results.
Not to jack your thread, but I see you have a '94 RE900R. I have a '95. In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful ricers ever made. They are pretty rare now...still very popular in Europe.

Hey Steve, I rode out to Howard Park this past weekend, very nice ride up until the tip of my exhaust pipe fell off, was just about to retrieve it with what would have been only minor scratches when a little old blue hair lady in a huge Buick ran it over. Time for a need pipe I guess. Still a good ride with a lot of nice sites out at the beach.

Travis at Tampa Big Dog is good. Been using them since 2005 and have been satisfied on all the Big Dogs I bought. Shannon was also good but he is working at a RV ( Motor Home ) place in Tampa now.

Wow! I agree. And rare is the word. I love that old beast. With three bikes in the garage, I promised myself I'd sell at least one of them come spring. But I don't know. I know the dog stays. But I love my Warrior, and I feel the same way about the RF900. My lady Kim belongs to this church ride club. A ride was planned, but one of the Harley dude's bike was broke (insert chuckle here). I told him come over early and pick one of my other bikes for the ride. He took the Suzuki. He still hasn't stopped thanking me.

What to do...

Steve

Ok, I've been down ther once... Bought some nice shirts... Talked to Tank. I hate riding into Tampa, but I'll use them when it's a dog specific issue. Thanks for the insight.

Hey. While I have the Tampa guys, did anyone else attend the Thunder By the Bay bike fest in Sarasota last weekend? I only ran into one BDM guy on a K-9, and he was a really drunk ... but funny ... dude who didn't have a computer or know anything about the forum.

Don't sell the RF. It is a great all around bike. Look around on Ebay and see how hard it would be to replace it with a clean, low mileage RF. I bought mine in the crate in 1995. It has about 15K miles and is immaculate. All stock, except a Yoshi pipe, Dynojet Kit, K&N filter, and Corbin seat. I have a lot of bikes, so I don't ride it much, but after talking about it, I guess it will get some miles this weekend.

Now, back to the thread. Something about BB being a douche....:)

That's a tough one. The gun show is happening in Lakeland. The bike fest in Riverview, and it looks like its gonna be cold enough to keep me in the garage!

I'm playing it by the weather.
