In case this happens to anyone...

Greetings. I was always suffering fuel starvation on acceleration from a stop, but only when I was NOT full on gas. As long as the tank was full..never a problem. hmmm (07 Mastiff). I had to remove my fuel tank for a touch up repaint (thanks to shipper), and as I drained the fuel, using an extractor from the top as well as the petcock (don't ask, just did, perhaps impatient) The extractor sucked up some plastic or something to that effect. Aha! No wonder it would starve for fuel when NOT full. So, my little questions is: What would be the best way to clean the tank while it's off (when I get it back). Vacuume? fill it up with water and maybe this stuff will float out? Any one have a similar situation with junk in the fuel tank?:D

Turn out the petcock and look at all the junk on the screen, some of it is proly the tank liner. I had what looked like seeds in mine when I removed it for some touch up work.
