For whatever reason, can't open the link. But I'm not a total idiot (albeit what the ol'lady says to the contrary). From the thread, can just imagine what it reported: Some moronic cop who was drunk hit yet another one of us and got off...even though he was legally drunk. Oh, yeah--and because at least one other "reporting officer" was obviously "complicite" at the scene.
Sorry. TOTALLY understand and can relate to your outrage. Yes, it is DEFINITELY fuckin bullshit!!! But am I suprised...? Honestly...? Sad to say, but nope. Seen waaaaay far worse than that in my time. (Not to in any way belittle, demean or diminish the death of a fellow rider. Because in my eyes, you kill a rider cuz you're so fuckin stupid that you choose to drive drunk, you need to have some reaaaaaaaally bad shit happen to you!!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A COP!!!!) But unfortunately, I'm kinda used to it. (I've had cops do some of the most retardedly hilarious bullshit to me, if I wasn't such the moronic idiot that the ol'lady claims I am, I'd've probably went postal a long time ago!!!)
But the fact is, let's keep it real...they're on one side, and I'm kinda sorta on the other because of my past. But evenso, I'll be the first to admit that the overwhelming vast majority of cops aren't bad. (Wow! I can't believe I actually even said that!!!) Nor would the average reporting officer let a fellow officer off the hook if he knew he killed someone while driving drunk. Most of'em are just doing their job, much the same as the military or whatever else. That's their job. They go out everyday and put their lives on the line for you and me. Are some of them assholes? Sure. I could personally list the names of several. But what about the occasional "war atrocity" where a handful of guys end up slaying a village-full of innocent civilians...? Are you going to condemn our entire armed forces for the lunatic idiocy of a handful of morons...?
Sorry. Touched on a sensitive subject with me. I ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY FUCKING HATE being discriminated against because I am what I am and I also choose to ride a bike. I HATE it when an old lady walks past me on the sidewalk while dressed in my leathers and stuff and feels she has to step to the side out of fear of what I might do. I HATE it when I put in the lowest bid for a job only to later learn that I lost it because I showed up on my K9, I HATE it when while at a gas station filling up a little boy comes over to ooo-and-ahhh at my bike, then his fuckin punkass dad sees me and hurriedly snatches his kid away.
Unfortunately for all of us, I seriously doubt that I'll never become the next president (a perfectly manufacutred and problem-free K9 in every garage and a neverending fridge full of Bud for everyone!). Nor will I probably ever own a Fortune 500 company. (Hell, to be honest, I'm just happy tryin to rub nickels together to make a dollar!) But I'm seriou, guys...I really, truly hate it when someone--anyone!--chooses to judge me just because I ride a bike. And it wouldn't matter whether it was a BD, a Harley or whatever. People are people. We're all individuals. Judge us on our merits. Not positions, titles, jobs, or lifestyles in society.
Meanwhile, both cops oughta be shot!!!!
