as i put in the intro thread i got a 04 ridgeback and i been doing a lot of reading on differant things here. like the computer upgrade and the thunder heart ign. the guy i got mine from said he already did the computer upgrade and i went out and looke under the seat and it has the thunder heard ign. thingy to:2thumbs: so im realy happy that i wont be having the problems a lot of you all have had.
the only down side is i dont know whats been done to the motor if any thing. all i do know is, it runs like a raped ape.:up:

so i would like to say thanks again for all the info.

now all i need to come up with is the software to plug the laptop in and see where everything is at.

if your talking about the silver box under your seat that says thunder heart that is stock,the ehc is either a black box or could be a yellowish color if its been updated or maybe you dont have an ehc,just sayn

I dont think you can hook up your bike to your laptop.... bdm has software to record your bikes info..rev hits. low idel ect.. you can find a dealer that can down load the newest version of software if you still got a ehc.. thay can tell you the info stored from the ing system..

i know the computer has been upgraded because after my budy got the bike it quit on him and bdm told him he needed one for a 07. i must of read the thunder heart thread wrong, its silver so i guess its factory.
and that would be the softwear i want so i can see how hard it been run. im the third owner so finding out whats all been done to it will be impossible. but i do know the guy i got it froms dad has the 03 chopper, and another friend has a 03 chopper and this one runs beter than both of them, the ride is beter(less vibration) and is faster, seems to have more pull than both them.
but the more i keep reading about all the problems with dogs trying to start on thier own,ehcs shootin craps and all that , i hope someone else done had these troubles and fixed them because im a poor broke bastard and wont be able to fix all that crap,lol

I hope your dosent have trouble to.. but if you got a big dog your eather broke or gona be due to fixin or upgrading shit...:2thumbs:

ok, im still learning about the bdm, and been reading and not realy sure what exactly the ehc is? i asume its the thing with the heart and sword? right? its silver and black....hell ill go look for a #

nope ,its bigger with alot more wires,black or yellow,no big deal just wondering if it was up graded,someone recently thought theirs was updated but wasnt,

Do some searching on this site & you will find plenty of pics of both including the wire plus replacement for the ehc.

thats the up dated ehc,i have had mine about 3 years with no issues,knock on wood,whoo hoo,i havent seen any issues with the thunder heart ign module so you should be good to go,:2thumbs:
