I was

I was just trying to get more familiar with my bike now that i have a service manual.
Man now I wish i did not. Is this the begin'n of the problems?

She has been running fine so far. Put about 500 miles on her maybe a few more than that...

That is the reset for the CB correct? The black button?

Only thing I would have done is heat shrink. He probably wanted to cover the holes coused by the crimp in the connectors. Just re do them.... You should see what they did to the wiring on the BBT I have. It will take me a year to patch it back together half way right....

Can't tell by the pic what the crimped wires are or go to can you explain what they go to.

You do have the circuit breaker which is the gray plastic block in the upper left. I also notice what looks to be a fuse holder with a black wire. Does the black wire go to the circuit breaker or something else. I see the top wire on the breaker is red and looks like it goes to the battery, is that the case.

The front of your electronics box/tray looks like it is missing a bolt. I don't have a Mastiff but a friend of mine does. When we did the fuse/circuit breaker upgrade his tray lloked the same and the 2 rear bolts were loose and ready to come out. We just tightened them up.

Got more info ?

Thanks V

Well the one picture the wires run to a black button that you push from the outside of the cover. I dont know what the hell that button is or was for..
I was hoping that was the breaker reset button?

What is drilled and mounted in your side cover with the wire going to it? LED for an alarm, or LED lighting switch?

Everything looks good... the button being for a garage door opener... ok whatever....

The gray wire being out makes me think... aftermarket ignition.

The fuse on the left of the pic is for the battery tender hook up.

Ok, now that would be kinda cool. I haven't been able to find a viable option for the garage door...anyone know of a module that will work? I wouldn't drill a hole in the side cover but maybe hang a small pigtail out with the button...

SIICK!!!
Gas is right....the black wire that goes to the fuse is the in-line fuse for the battery tender jr. ring terminal lead...

Gas aas noted is right about the battery tender hook up fuse! Since your bike is a 06 you may need to check to see if you need the voltage regulator upgrade kit. Which is a fuse instead of the circuit breaker. I think there is a post on this in the recall/bulletins section.
I forgot about the battery tender hook up as Gas pointed out as my bike didn't come with one:down:

So I have to remove the ignition cover to see if it has been changed correct?
Do we have a picture of a stock one? How will i be able to tell if its stock or not? Thx T

The stock ignition is by Thunderheart and is right under the battery tender fuse in your photo. Its a small gray alumnium block thats about 2"x 2" x 3/4" thick and has 8 wires the hook into the stock harness. I beleive Gas installed an aftermarket adjustable ignition that goes in the camshaft nose cone. I think he did a how to on this:)

I think Gas has put a couple in now...:D
Yeah no shit Neil....

I do see the thunderheart.. but with that brown wire out... it makes me think aftermarket iginition... that is the tach wire.

T-mack... does your cam cover look like this?

Which would mean you don't have a aftermarket ignition cause there isn't any room.
