Take head bolts off 1st, then the frame bolt. Flip the housing, unplug switch. Then take a screwdriver and flatten locking washer. Then take a wrench unscrew nut off switch. Pull switch out.

Thank you. Will solve this problem first. Then tackle the deceleration popping. Got the new seat today and new turn signal lenses previous owner was a bit tough on the bike.

The decel popping can be several things. It may be as simple as adjusting the carb, or cleaning the air filter. A bad exhaust gasket, or a crack in the exhaust pipe. Are the baffles still in the pipes? And what exhaust are you running?

Vance and Hines. 2:2. Below is a pic of the inside of the pipe And the air cleaner. Baffles are there. Plan to replace them to quiet the exhaust just a bit. I have lost enough hearing to jet engines, bikes and guns. 2nd pic shows dragging damage to the lower tip.

The exhaust bolts were out of torque. I also readjusted the carb per the instructions in another thread and the problem is gone. Now to the right hand switches and new baffles.
