I don't hear from anyone who has hardwired their bikes, mine is hardwired and I have never had electrical issues since. It's up to you. A lot prefer the OEM and endless computer replacements. Thats why I went that way.. hard wired is hard to beat. The only circuit boards I gotta worry about is the led lights.. and I got extras.. lolI think thats the way to go, I had no problems for years
That’s a good question!Hate to hijack but, before I start cutting wires I wanted to be sure. Original is a 3 prong Letters are IG, B, L and the tractor supply has black wire and yellow wire. I "assume" IG and L connect to yellow and B connects to black?
I have an 2004 pitbull and mine did the same thing so I got a wire plus system and re wired my bike in 1 day, just beware I cut all the wires off the echo and I had to test every wire for its function but the wire plus system comes with a diagram to wire which has numbers for every wire and on the each plug there is tiny numbers to correspond with the diagram and no problems after retire. Good luckWell I tested the switch it works fine. 2009 k9 may be time to get rid of the EHC.
