Maybe any suggestions if I turn my key nothing happens no lights ,If I play with the key then it comes on but after I play couple times .
Maybe need new switch my key is pretty lose .

Yeah these big V-twins vibrate! Probably not a good idea to have additional keys on your key ring. You can get oem switches on Ebay. Some guys use Ford tractor switches or Sportser switches.

I got a new BDM switch from dead one customs, you can go with a tractor switch, search other threads for part number. One warning, get it replaced soon, mine got so bad it shorted internally and burnt the wires going to the switch and the jst connector

yea, i believe if you have a "Tractor Supply" out there, you should be able to pick up a switch for a Ford 8N tractor and it will swap out. good luck.

I had the same problem I replaced with a tractor supply switch lights go on and off with key but after I start it and then turn key off lights still stay on until I unplug key harness.any suggestions

Well busy lately Guru ,But anyway went to the tractor supply they don't have them anymore ,Maybe go to Harley Davidson dealer and buy one for a sportster.

Question where is the ground located on that bike .

Follow the wire from the negative post on the battery ,and it probably goes straight to a bolt on the frame. Anywhere on the frame would be a ground, (unless it is through a bearing, not the best for the bearing to have electricity arcing through it)

Well put a new switch from tractor supply in , but first took my battery out to check the wiring and my headlight was not working right I have that new light from steel worker .
So I have three negative wires on my battery the one going to my starter and the other ones goes to my ECM module but I cannot find a ground wire.
So turn my key and total nothing happend ,So now I have to call your guy,s in again any suggestion .

Do ya have the one, that's about the size of the positive cable, that goes from the negative post on the battery and is bolted on the other end to the frame? how about a picture ?
