EHC

No EFI..... carb.

I unplugged my ehc, plugged in my cousins and the bike powered back up and fired up. Unplugged his, plugged mine back in and nothing... no lights, no power, no fire. EHC... DEAD.

So, this is more than likely the cause of my intermittent "ignition loss" over the course of the last year....

changed out the switch for nothing...

thats more convincing. Good luck on finding a replacement. As stated, I would recommend the KMW or a known good EHC. You can discuss both options with Curtis at WSW.

Just do away with the EHC all together. Are you any good at doing wiring yourself? That could be a "get to know your bike" time. There are plenty of posts about doing just that. It would also save you some money as well.

re-wire

getting rid of the EHC all together sounds great... but to do that we have to change out handcontrols, etc, etc.... and I 1) don't have the time, 2) don't have the $$.... but i'd love to just switch over. But I do want to keep the BDM hand controls as long as possible...

idea's or information I don't know?
