Ignition Coil Upgrade?

Tried searching the forums, but no luck. Anyway, has anyone found a good coil upgrade?

Is your coil broken? I have never had a coil issue and it seems to have plenty of spark. Am I missing something here?

No, I replaced plugs and wires and have noticed a major improvement. Old plugs were gapped at .024. I was just thinking a coil upgrade would be cool. ‍

Just curious I think replacing worn out plugs and wires would be much more beneficial than a hotter coil. IMO. But I like the way you think

That's the damn issue -- plugs are supposed to be gapped at 38 to 42 thousandths
At 24 thousandths the spark happens too soon and does not have complete energy.

Try properly gapped plugs first!

Yeah, seemed to run a bit smoother.

Biggest performance upgrade was a XXX Mini Taz carb. Unfortunately, Bob Maltz passed a few years ago and the business is gone.
