idle issue,???

after big dog ajusted my carb. i was still having an idle problem, i noticed the idle screw backs out on its own!! what is a good fix for this, it does this while i am rideing,?:bang:

maybe worn spring on the screw

by taking out the screw, will that cause any problems with the carb. ajustments, or is it just a screw that holds the butterfly opened

if its the idle screw that your talking and not the fuel mixture screw your ok.watch for the spring

Pull it out and clean it then put a dab of loctite on it and re-set it. That should hold it for you. I even had a dime soldered on to the top of it for easier adjustment. I've never had an issue with mine but then I pull my carb apart quite often and reset everything due to our dirty fuel.

Are you using it to turn up idle for warming the bike?

If so, consider getting a cruise mate instead.

Like Ray said add a "dab" of loctite of just plain 'ol silicone to the threads at the base once it set properly. :2thumbs:
