idle issue,???

after big dog ajusted my carb. i was still having an idle problem, i noticed the idle screw backs out on its own!! what is a good fix for this, it does this while i am rideing,?:bang:

by taking out the screw, will that cause any problems with the carb. ajustments, or is it just a screw that holds the butterfly opened

if its the idle screw that your talking and not the fuel mixture screw your ok.watch for the spring

ok, thanks, i know what screw it is because every time i stop somewhere i need to idle her back up,

Pull it out and clean it then put a dab of loctite on it and re-set it. That should hold it for you. I even had a dime soldered on to the top of it for easier adjustment. I've never had an issue with mine but then I pull my carb apart quite often and reset everything due to our dirty fuel. :rant:

Are you using it to turn up idle for warming the bike?

If so, consider getting a cruise mate instead.

Like Ray said add a "dab" of loctite of just plain 'ol silicone to the threads at the base once it set properly. :2thumbs:
