So I bought a 2000 pro sport that has been sitting for 7 years bike fired up and then died riding home and it’s been mission and a half.
Originally the battery load tested bad then I would still get a click. I replaced the starter motor and I would get a crank over and it seemed pretty strong. It wouldn’t start from there forward. So I rebuilt the carb and replaced plugs since the battery was low from the starter testing and the headlights being on I swapped the battery out of my 16 dyna. I rode it around the block then had to run errands and let the new battery for the bike that I purchased sit on charge. I come home reinstall the battery once it shows 12.7 volts I start the bike and get about 200 feet before it completely lost power and the battery had about 4 start attempts without starting. I pushed the bike back in my driveway and am pulling my hair out with this thing. What would you check from this point forward?
