Ideas on mounting sissy bar pad

I bought 2 split rings from mcmaster carr that were polished and bolted them to the sissy bar as they have 2 allen bolts to hold them together. You just bolt them under the bottom of the pad and the pad can't slide down at all!!! I have 2 pads on my 18 inch sissy bar so i got 2 split rings for each pad and they don't look bad at all!

I liked your post, but wanted to add another option. If you go to Ginz, you can purchase an 11/16 flag pole mount for the same purpose. Then, you can display Old Glory on your ride!
