So there I was,
6am ridgeback's in the drive way, mothers poweball in hand, gettin to work.
8:45 she clean and were ready, off to the watering hole to celebrate the 4th
1 mile down the road clutch turns to mush while down shifting, bike's stuck in second gear.

1 hour to walk her home.

worst part, the the independance day poker run that watch me push my chopper back to the barn...

i wish you all the best on this holiday and now I will go drown my sorrows.

stay safe.

I did my clutch nut a while back,,, just cause , it wasnt giving me any problems just yet...... but shouldnt there be a better way to lock it down instead on a impact wrench & loctite..... just a thought,,,, my service vans have a floating rear axel with a nut that holds the rear drums on.. secured with a square key with & lock ring...I know the rod goes through the center but we should come up with a way to retro fit the tranny shaft to secure the clutch so thay wont come lose.. any ideas???

Yeah a tab washer that has a tab that you can bend up to the nut flat. That would hold it in place...:2thumbs:

Thats what makes me nervous on the long trips. Being stranded is a bitch! Most towing insurance only covers up to 50 miles. What do you do if you are several hundred miles from home? Seriously?

That's the chance we take everytime we roll out...can't worry about that shit. Good preventative maintenance will take care of most issues before they become a problem...except the infamous EHC...when it goes it goes!lol.

yep these toys was not made for pushing you will find out how good a shape you in fast i ran out of gas last week luckly the pump was just a block away longest block of my life
