I now understand mods.

When I first started researching Big Dogs and came across all of these posts about modifications I naively thought to myself, "Wow, these already look pretty custom, what else could you possibly do?"

I get it now  I'd like to do a Ridgeback or 08 Pitbull up in this color scheme. Looks badass, IMO.

Found the pic on the Club Chopper forum.

You just obviously need to do what ever to get your Big Dog as it's seems you are overwhelmed with the the idea you will be riding one.
Forget that Sportster shit and go get a Dog!!!

The custom options are endless. I just put new triple trees on my bike and it gave the bike a much different look... whatever you can imagine you can probably get if you want it bad enough.

yep - a small fortune spent by the members on here - I dread to think what it all adds up to - you can't take it with you though so fuck it

I don't even look at what I spent Gas! I'd rather not know. I agree, you can't take it with you, and I'd rather die in debt with allot of toys and happy memories.

I don't even want to know how much I have invested in my scoot. It would probably make me sick. Don't forget all the extra crap like leathers, helmets, tie downs, trailers, etc., etc., etc.

Well .... I've tried the marriage thing .... TWICE :bang: ... and completely rebuilding the chopper this winter will be cheaper.

Oh hell .... I could buy another one and still come out on top! :2thumbs:

I got more money wrapped up in my truck that just sits in the driveway than I ever will in my pup. And I do not keep reciepts as I will never get that money back and I do not share with others what the shit costs. It is like fuel, we want it so we buy it, same as our bikes and mods.

Sounds like a quote from Bubblehead, our fearless forum leader - who kept saying his brand new K-9 exactly what he wanted, so he couldn't imagine any mods - but then the saga began! :D

Heh, yeah. For someone new to the custom world, BDMs already look pretty damn shiny. I understood exhaust and engine mods but appearance-type mods were different. I figured I would be spending the big dollars up front so that I wouldn't need to bother with appearance mods :D I guess to an extent that is true but that black and silver bike sure looks nice...

He spent a F of alot more than that and is pretty effin miserable now...

You definately can't buy happiness, it just sucks that the things that make us HAPPY are so effin expensive...

I was happy with the Dog before I joined this site, and I'm still happy...
You guys just have too many expensive idea's :flag:

You should all be charged with contributing to my delinquency :nono:
