Hello Guys!

I need some advise before i start my 2008 Ridgeback, so here is the history.

I rode the bike for the last time like a year ago. That day i replaced the oils and everything was perfect.

After that, I moved from south fl to Jacksonville Fl and havent ridden the bike again. The bike has been sitting in my garage since then. I have started it maybe 6 times during the last year (last time 4 months ago, but didnt ride it)

The bike is always on battery tender.

Now I'm ready to ride again but im a little scare. Dont know if after so many months, something might break or be affected due to the lack of use.

I appreciate if somebody can tell me what are the appropiate steps to follow in this case in order to avoid any possible damage.

Thanks for your help!

Sam:cheers:

Hmmm...
I would suggest you:
1. Drain all the fuel from the tank and carb and replace with fresh gas.
2. Pull the plug wires and crank the engine over a few times to get some oil moved around the engine parts.
3. Put em back on and start it carefully and let it run a few seconds.
Should be good to go then!
Just my $ .02

Happy Motoring!

I like Ron's plan. How long and how many miles do you have on the last fluid change? Something to consider after you know it will start and run good.

Hey Sam, take Ray up on his offer. He knows these bikes inside and out and he's a great guy to just hang with. If you follow Ron's steps, drain the old gas into one of those red gas jugs and save it for next week. Ray will be calling from 4 miles up the road needing a gal or two!
