I just went to the Big Dog web site .... I think that the foward controls that came off my 2008 mastiff will fit your 05 Ridgeback. In the parts section of Big Dog I typed in our year bikes and the same part number came up for Tribal foward controls (163-00043-01)
The foward controls I have are polished alumimiun.... They'll give you about 2.5 inches.
If your interested I'll send you pics of the parts. I want $100.00 plus shipping

Bobby, be aware that the tribal forward controls are slightly rotated forward. This means that you will get a little more than the 2 1/2 inches. The other thing is that the actual 2 1/2 kit is only the mounting plates, nothing to do with tribal anything. Make sure you are getting the shift linkage as well.

And if they are longer than 2.5 thats ok too (im 6'5")

Sorry for the confusion...... What I have is the 2.5 extended Forward Control kit.
When I originally posted and looked at part numbers I went to The Big Dog site and looked under the "Pegs & Grips" section
The Tribal forward controls for your bike and My bike are the same part number....So I assumed that the Extended kit I have would work....well you know what that say about assuming anything......!
After reading REMorris's post I went back to the Big Dog site and found the correct part number for the extended forward control kit under the “Functional “section”..
Unfortunally....Your bike and my bike have a DIFFERENT part number for this 2.5" kit....
So I don’t think they are compatible on your 2005 Ridge Back....

BFB, I looked up your 2008 Mutt and unfortunally......That has a different part number also


Men....Sorry for the confusion.....But if anyone is interested I have the 2.5" extended forward control kit Part# 163 000014-02 ( it has the mounting plates and longer linkage) I want $100.00 plus shipping.

Can you send a picture. The Mutt has a Mastiff frame from what I recall. Different part numbers but may be the same. Anybody out there agree or disagree? Or did the mutt come with the Chopper forward controls. Or, are they all the same.

Here's what I have..... I got these extra parts when I purchased my bike. I was just looking at my bike and I'm not sure how the smaller plate extents the rear brake control longer. If you think it will work let me know.
