i know its been run into the ground cam and rocker ?

i installed the limiters when i swapped my boxes and bumped the compression. my oem tappets didnt have the limiters. investigated this a few months back and BD replied they didnt use limiters in any of their motor builds. their manuals (05) show the rod adjustments as without limiters.

maybe the 04 117's were true S&S built?

I was told it is the TP rocker arm that is the culprit and if you change to the S&S rocker it will fit in the TP rocker boxes and cure the problem. You still have to pull the head and change the guides tho.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news,but the few I've changed out guides on had TP boxes WITH S&S rocker arms,and still had several worn out guides !
