For learning purposes I isolated various circuits & the EHC is the tiny draw during the bike's off state. Meantime from all that I happened to discover a faulty voltage regulator!!
Stator tests good & a new VR is on the way.

Good catch. I don't know why I didn't think to have you check that. I've run into that before. Even had one catch fire sitting in my shop. I had just hooked up the battery and was doing something else, and my help yelled, what on fire, I smell smoke.
