I followed the BD service manual and adjusted my pushrods 24 flats from 0 lash , so I start her up and notice oil is coming out of the over flow tube pretty good splattering-- where before oil hardly ever came out of the tube. Does anyone know what would cause this?? Something I did in adjustment??

you may have put the tubes on upside down. don't ask me how I know, and i'm not the only one that knows this.

I got down with a flashlight and ran my fingers up in there and its connected to the back side of the motor.

I started her up again and it seems fine , no oil coming out. But this is some kind of vent tube for the motor because Air pumps out with each revolution .

Maybe a week. But that describes it pretty well it just shot out a blob of oil and now seems fine.
I have to set 4 rods. I have to rotate the crank. That rotates the oil pump. That sends oil into the crankcase. That means there was not enough return movement to send oil back to the oil tank. That extra oil in the [dry] sump of the case had an exit door called a breather tube. The sump cavity drew the excess out via on the floor... problem no more.

See cashier on your way out.

Yep agreed.

That's just a case breather down to the ground everything is all good as long as its not leaking anymore. It will puke out from time to time, don't sweat it.
