BTW, I bought what’s called a Push Seat for my 2008 Ridgeback which moves you forward a couple of inches.

Those definitely look like extended controls to me.
That’s what my bike had on it when I bought it.
Mr. Wright swapped out my extended controls for retracted (a 3.5” difference) then we changed my regular seat for a push seat, and finally put a set of pitbull handlebars with a pair of spacers for tank clearance, and now my bike that was built for the Jolly Green Giant fits my 5’6” self perfectly.
you can see how much farther back my pegs are.
