Hypercharger

Hi all,

I was wondering if any one here with a new bulldog, has looked into using a Kury Hypercharger on the EFI, and how it would affect it's mapping. I know it's supposed to "learn", but I was just wondering what the experts thought. Thanks guys.

Hmm...not dog specific but with any EFI system you have a mass air sensor which measures the density and the amount of air coming into the intake and adjusts the fuel curve accordingly. It also uses the O2 sensor to measure the unburnt amount of fuel and does it best to constantly keep a happy median. So, if that's the case with the big dog and it's functioning properly it should adjust accordingly until you run out of fuel (like with a supercharger or something I'd think) Someone kick me if I'm wrong.

Pro, Your right, I had that Hypercharger on another Bike and it was a Nice Mod, the problem with it, is every damn Honda I see has one. So I won't touch it.
That's it... my bro plans on getting one for his VTX.

My opinion - They don't look bad, but it was at the point where you couldn' go nowhere without seeing them. I wouldn't put one on my bike.

I ran a hypercharger on the Bulldog for several months. It ran fine and I was happy with it...I just wanted a change....

So I guess that would be like puttin a pink collar on your bulldog:down:
I have bulldogs never put pink on them. LOL

Hyperchargers work best with the trapdoor or pro version.

I do think I see alot on the jap bikes (no offence to anyone).
I program FI maps for dyno for fun. The trap door and pro use the highest mixtures for the maps. You get a lot of air sucking throw them.

Hey Guys,
I don't want to burst anyones bubble, but I've dyno'd a hand full of bikes w/ hyperchargers on them. After tuning the bike to run correctly I took the whole front cover off and gained 5-8 hp. Think about it, a motor wants air and fuel. Look at a hyper ch. one day. Front to back, side to side. Its pretty stuffed up. Were does the air get in. The front and a slot in the bottom.

Leave them for the VTX

You're not.

Ya don't install a Hyper for the performance gain it's there for the looks. Just like you don't bang a blonde model for her ability to balance a checkbook...
