Hydraulic Clutch, any reason why I can't use one?

I'm changing out my bars and controls. Is there any reason why I can't switch to a hydraulic clutch now? I vaguely remember a thread about this but couldn't find it. Big Dog makes our trap doors, but there is no reason why I can't just slap a hydraulic actuator on there, right?

Since yours is an 04 it shouldn't be any issues. Just make sure your master cylinder and actuator match. Only issues I have seen is when someone buys a different master cylinder with a certain bore size and then get a totally different actuator. You can run the whole line internally also if you want.

Thanks guys. Im glad I searched for this thread before posting the exact same question. Im not so concerned with the cable showing as I am being stranded somewhere. I guess i just got used to the mental comfort of my Ninjas' clutch.
Thanks for the help on this one.

i bought an aftermarket rsd clutch cover to check fitment and the bolt holes wernt close to matching.

this is also why bakers chain conversion doesnt fit because of the rear lower bolt being so low.

Running a hydraulic on mine. Got the actuator from Baker -- suspect there is a version for the LSD as well. Been zero trouble for me.

I did it on mine. I modified my bars with internals and PM controls. You can get a small actuator from Drag / Fat Book and it mounts on your down tube where you would normally have the clutch adjustment boot. From the actuator going up, it hydraulic. From the actuator down, it still cable. Works well.

Nice set up! A company was selling a kit that looked like those but they had LED turn signals in the front of the control for $2500 installed.

They also had a mirror delete option that put a mini camera pointing back so you could see behind you with out needing the mirrors. I saw them at laughlin last year. I thought it was a really nice clean set up. The screen for the rear camera was in the speedo
