I have a 2001 Husky and its spitting and sputtering . I feel its the bikes computer so I was thinking of running a new ignition system and pulling the computer out all together. Does anybody know if there would be any problem with that ?

29449? You're in Hollywood, SC? You work on your own? Or take it in? If so who works on it? American Biker? I'm in Charleston, SC. Check the fuel / air mixture w the carb adjustments; and fuel (tank) condition before ripping out your brain (EHC).

Yeah definitely check your fuel tank condition. I have a 2000 Husky that was sputtering off and on sometimes also. Even the local custom shop said it was probably the EHC but not sure until they looked at it.
I'm glad I did somemore checking and pulled the Fuel Tank first becuz it was toast. The left tank was full of corrosion and shit, I was surprised hardly any fuel was getting through.
I've only had it 1 1/2 years but who ever painted it before sealed the left cap so it wouldn't come off. That was probably the start of the problems.

So check other stuff first. Good Luck
