Our summer started about two weeks ago. Up till then it was monsoon season. Not typical Kansas weather. Its been raining on and off the last few days....so I'm not sure what season it is anymore?:confused:

Hi Karatagirl,
Just noticed you were located in "Conshy" on River Road.

I used to live in Norristown, PA. and by the Betzwood Bridge. I Raced District-6 Motocross, later turned Pro and raced Nationals, USGP's. I practiced with my buddies in 'Miquon' on the hill side track we made under the 'power lines' next to the RR tracks behind the plant near --YOU GUYS!:hi:

Do we know each other; or I know your Father?
I raced with Bobby Jones who later owned Montgomeryville Cycle Center, knew Billy Jones, Mike Stupack, Steve Speak and Bud Kuhn to name a few MX buddies... I also knew Bob Holmes of Cycle Stop, Norristown.

The Cops used to chase us out of there all the time! -- was that you guys that called "5-O" on us!?

My name is Rob used to ride Maico's (MX bikes) back in the day...
Nice to "meet" you!

Oh yeah -- our summer never seems to end here in SoCal!

Looking forward to retirement
Summer was great. June and July were fantastic 85*. Road my ass off. Then went to Sturgis. Came back to reality with 98* heat. Been there ever since. Not the best riding temp. Heat broke this week and its 94*. Has not rained in north west Louisiana in 80 days!! Everything is burned up. I run my irrigation well every night on my trees and what ever else I can!

Nice to meet you too!! HAHA get out of here!!!! Small world!!! I worked for my dad from 2000 until about 2007. I'll have to ask my dad about those names. Where you used to ride is now a giant parking lot...... I wish it was still hills and power lines.

Jealous of SoCal summers!!!! Must be waay better than Pa!!!

Yikes!! 80 days!!!!! We have had the 98 degree weather but lots of rain here and there. I miss the days when it was hot during the day and cool at night. Those summers are long gone.

HOT in Colorado most off the summer. Lots of rides, made it to Sturgis again this year. All in all very good. Bike has been down recently....trans rebuild and cracked frame. Actually wasn't bad timing because as you may have heard recently it's been raining in Colorado! Some places 15-20 inches. Keep in mind we typically get 12 inches total moisture in a year!

Mine is ended on some High notes!

It would be even better if I got a Karata open Belt Drive, so my drippy one can be replaced! LOL!!!

I'm saving for it. The problem is my LSD bike and the offset. I guess you guys don't make a back plate in the offset I need. Oh well, I'll figure something out!
