How to treat new chrome.

I recently purchased 4 Crager Keystone Classic rims for a dune buggy I am building. They were delivered today and look great. But it dawned on me that I have never owned any brand new chrome. Is there anything special I should use on them for the first polishing or treating?

Thanks,
Frank

not going against personal preference here, but, "dune buggy"= sand, dirt, mud. wouldn't it be better to just go with a steel wheel instead of scratching the chrome all to hell and back?????

thinking back on it, I've never had a set of chrome wheels either. they've always been steel or billet or cast aluminum/magnesium.

Have had good luck with this as an example.
Meguiar's G12718 NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0, 18 fl oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002UQATS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_dqPuEbDTXVSMJ

A polymer/synthetic will last longer, not wash off as a natural carnauba or silicon based.

All do well, but lasting is important to me at least.

Some folks are talking about the “ceramic” waxes, but I don’t have much experience. Not sure if there is anything there or a latest fad.
