how to remove gas cap bung

i got a 2003 pitbull and i want to remove the ring the gas cap screws into(bung?) i got a spanner wrench but this thing wont budge is it lh thread? any tricks?

Might help with use of a torch (remove gas first) , hammer, & pry bar.

I have to say, I've never screwed my gas cap into my Bung before! :roll:

No, really, BDM glues them in or probably epoxy. Sometimes they come out fairly easy sometimes not at all. They are
Right handed threads. Hope you plan on repainting your tank, because it may need it when it takes some of the paint
with it.

Trust me on this... you can seroiusly f up paint. and/or clear

BDM does NOT use the tool to remove. They take a saw and cut from the inside out. The tool is only used for installation. This is info straight from the man in the paint dept.
